A History of the College of Arts and Sciences at USC
This one-volume history of the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of South Carolina explores a half dozen key moments of transition in the history of the College, dating back to the origins of the University in 1801. While the University of South Carolina has grown from a tiny college in the South Carolina hinterland to become a robust university with more than a dozen different schools and colleges on its Columbia campus as well as another seven regional campuses in its system, this history contends that the liberal arts have always been the heart and soul of the University. This project is expected to be complete in 2019.
